Winter activities in Alta Badia
Your five star winter holiday in South Tyrol / Alto Adige
An inimitable ski area, with a long tradition that begun more than 50 years ago, with the construction of the first Italian chair lift in Corvara. From that year, Alta Badia developed considerably from a touristic point of view, becoming the first choice for what concerns winter holidays in Alps.
The enviable geographic position of Alta Badia, makes her an important crossroad in Dolomites, offering a direct access to ski tours as Sella Ronda, the Tour of the Big War and many other possibilities in the area of Dolomiti Superki.
Obviously, Alta Badia offers much more beyond skiing: cross-country skiing, sledding, ice-skating, gastronomy, shops and night-time fun are waiting for you for an explosive winter full of entertainment.

Dolomiti Superski & Sella Ronda

Legendary pistes, as the Gran Risa, Armentarola, Saslong and Vallon and skiing tours as Sella Ronda are waiting for you. Skiing among these best expressions of nature represents a guaranteed fun.
Ski mountaineering & freeride
Few sports are able to transmit emotions as ski-mountaineering does, and over all among Dolomites landscapes, fun is guaranteed. Alta Badia gives infinite possibilities to practice this sport, but we want you to remember Val Mezdì, the Sas dla Crusc and the natural park Puez-Odle. Traces left on fresh snow after a slope on Ladin landscapes remain in memory for a long time.
Alta Badia offers two centres for lovers of nordic skiing: the first one in the wonderful locality of Armentarola in San Cassiano and another one located between Corvara and Colfosco. 30 kilometres of cross-country pistes, both for classic discipline and skating, in order to practice the most ancient skiing sports discipline surrounded by Dolomites.
A sport able to guarantee fun to everyone, young and old, ideal over all for families with children. In Alta Badia, the piste Trù Liösa Foram provides a specifically prepared path offering 3,5 kilometres length, reachable through the gondola cableway Piz Sorega. Other sledge-pistes are located on the Cherz plateau or in La Val, towards the meadows of Armentarola.
In Alta Badia, also ice-skating is proud of an important tradition. Already during 50's, tourists met in Lech da Sompunt, in order to spend cheerful evenings on ice. Even today, it is possible to have fun on this wonderful frozen lake, or also in the covered ice rink of Corvara.
